Newburyport District Court Judge Allen G. Swan refused to Issue a protection order into a girl who had accused Dr. Keith Ablow of
harassing herincluding bizarre claims he had broken up into her office during the night and had transferred his own office closer
to hers in an attempt to be near her
Judge Swan ruled He saw no signs whatsoever that the Woman's claims were supported.
The woman, Janna McCarthy, was a ex-employee of Dr. Ablow's. Proof was introduced in court that, far from her being plagued, she'd
delivered Dr. Ablow thank you notes for being a mentor of hers and for treating her with respect during her job. She'd also asked
for a significant increase, which Dr. Ablow hadn't consented to. Her harassment criticism followed the request for a raise.
Dr. Ablow refused to settle the situation by agreeing to a Protective order being accessed by the woman. He refused to offer any
monetary settlement. He wanted his day in court. And he won.
"I will not bet on Ms. McCarthy's motives," Dr. Ablow said. "I hope she finds peace."
